I didn't realize Ultimate-Guitar Tabs was based in the Ukraine (not that I bothered to look). Sometimes the coolest shit is just a few notes played the right way. It’s not nearly as complicated as my amateur music theory nerd wants it to be. Then a fifth, then alternation between octave and minor seventh. Just an alternation of major thirds and fifths on the G. Then I look up the tab, I was right about the G and E being the low notes but the the main line is dead simple. It sometimes feels like other Bass players have access to notes that aren’t on my Bass. I just learned about those, maybe it’s that!
Ok maybe it’s major, let’s try those same notes in a major scale. Ok, from there maybe it’s a second or minor third, then fifth, seventh, minor sixth, back to fifth. Then there’s a higher pitch section that really makes the line shine.
Ok sounds like three G notes, kinda higher pitch, then it drop to a lower interval for three more.
